Role: Maintenance Technician Location: North Las Vegas, Nevada Duration: FulltimeJob Summary: The role involves diagnosing and repairing machinery, managing tools and inventory, and contributing to facility projects. At times, the maintenance technician may be asked to work on separate projects around the facility such R&D, building new items, etc.Job Duties And Responsibilities:Perform Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute a preventive maintenance schedule for all automation equipment. Inspect, clean, and lubricate machinery components to prevent breakdowns.Troubleshoot and Diagnose Issues: Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control system issues in a timely manner. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to analyze problems and implement effective solutions.Repair and Replace Components: Replace faulty or damaged parts to ensure the proper functioning of automated systems. Collaborate with the maintenance team to maintain an inventory of critical spare parts.Collaborate with Engineering Teams: Work closely with automation engineers to understand system specifications and configurations. Provide feedback on equipment performance and suggest improvements for enhanced reliability.Adhere to Safety Standards: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance activities. Identify and address safety concerns related to automated systems.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections. Create detailed reports on equipment performance and maintenance history.Training and Support: Provide training and support to production staff on the proper operation and basic troubleshooting of automated systems. Stay updated on new technologies and advancements in automation to enhance skills and knowledge.Experience and Education: Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in an automation or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Familiarity with PLCs, HMI systems, robotics, and other automation technologies. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
