Overview Senior Program Planner contributes to the drug development process by providing portfolio and program management (PPM) support to the Celldex Project Management department and program development teams. This position will be integral in ensuring best practices in program management planning by working with program managers and other functional team members to capture, analyze and report program and portfolio level activities. Scope covers from preclinical activities through launch/lifecycle activities. Senior Program Planner will become a subject matter expert in use of the PPM software and tools to support training of cross-functional team members. The Senior Program Planner partners with each program manager to ensure successful planning and execution of program team strategy (including preparation of strategic product development plans) and program management assignments as well as extended member of the program team. Directly reports to the VP, Project Management with dotted line report to program managers. Responsibilities * Timelines and Team Data * Creates and manage portfolio and program dashboards, timelines, documents and supporting systems/tools according to established industry best practices. * Actively analyze and highlights inconsistencies, risks and scheduling conflicts. * Ensures data is accurately reported in PM systems and team sites. * Leads focused sub-teams/workstreams as required (E.g. BLA submission team, launch preparation team, etc.). * Risks, Actions, Issues and Decisions (RAID) * Participate in development of risk and issue assessments. Actively ensures RAID items are addressed proactively by Program Manager. * Communication * Ensure clear and transparent communication of timelines and key deliverables with Celldex leadership and functional team representatives via available reporting tools. * Communicate and work across functions to follow-up on assignments / tasks. * Participate in the clear communication of program issues / risks as they arise. * Training * Provide technical guidance and training on project management tools/systems to new program team members and other functional support personnel as appropriate. * Reporting * Responsible for preparation of program team and PM department status reports/timelines under the guidance of the program managers and/or VP, Project Management. * PM Support * Attend sub-team meetings on an ad hoc basis as a program liaison when requested. * Assist program manager in preparation of and participate as a team member on developing input for governance/decision making; as appropriate. * Participate in creation of strategy documents for committee review. * Serve as acting program manager when needed. * Process Improvement * Leads or supports ad hoc process improvement initiatives as requested. Qualifications * Work Experience: Minimum of 7+ years' experience as a program/project planner for complex biologic or pharmaceutical programs (preclinical through commercialization/post-marketing) in a multidisciplinary, global environment. * Therapeutic Area Experience: Inflammatory, Dermatology or Allergy a plus. * Mentoring: Demonstrated experience in mentoring/coaching team members to improve communication, planning and collaboration skills. * Adaptation: Demonstrated ability to adapt to new situations or emerging challenges. Proactively takes the lead to resolve an issue or challenge. Able to work without hierarchical authority in an environment with agile business processes. * Timeline Management: SmartSheet and/or Microsoft Project (or similar software tool): Intermediate or advanced (preferred) skill level. * Microsoft Office Suite (E.g., SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Word and Excel): Intermediate (minimum) skill level.
