Who will you be working with? You will be working with a new distribution team, working to build a culture of dependability and creating a culture where customers rely on you for unyielding quality. How will you make a difference? As a driver for the distribution team, you will be responsible for ensuring product is pick or put away accurately. You will use either a stand-up reach truck or order picker to accomplish this. Your work will go to help keep the world's transportation system keeps moving. The material that we distribute truly has a global impact and you can help us be successful. What do we want to know about you? Minimum Qualifications: * Ability to use warehouse management systems such as Oracle, Manhattan, Blue Yonder etc. * MS Office Skills Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Knowledge of Safety procedures and practices * Ability to work a flexible schedule with overtime as needed * Forklift experience is extremely preferred * Able to learn new skills or equipment * Prior PC experience with ORACLE or equivalent * Strong communication skills * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the customer in mind What will your typical day look like? * Coordinate external and intercompany requests for shipping and receiving documents * Coordinate logistics communications between customers, customer service, warehouse, and freight carriers * Interface with Customer Service Representatives regarding shipment information * Tracking of expected shipments * Dock scheduling * Fulfill requests for shipment POD's * Track and analyze mis-shipments to ensure they don't occur again * Track and analyze customer on-time delivery * Maintain monthly reporting deliverables * Execute daily processes in ERP system to assist warehouse shipping and receiving * File paperwork daily * Process employee hours in time and attendance program * Answer and direct telephone calls * Monitor and direct incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail for pickup * Greet visitors to the plant and direct visitors to the correct location * Make travel arrangements for staff as needed * Organize and facilitate workflow to ensure a productive workplace * Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors * Backup purchasing and warehouse personnel when needed * Create or modify work orders and sales orders when needed * Manage inventory of office supplies; requisition supplies and equipment from purchasing department when needed * Operate office machinery such as computers, photocopiers, and printers; perform light maintenance and troubleshooting What about the physical demands of the job?
