The Maintenance Worker is expected to perform highly skilled maintenance and repair for the property, including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, pool. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGuest ServicePersonally, demonstrates a commitment to guest service in responding promptly to guests' needsMeets or exceeds guest satisfaction measuresEnsures hotel standards and services contribute to the delivery of consistent guest serviceImplements and practices guest service initiatives and performs to Gulph Creek Hotel StandardsEngineer DutiesInstall, adjust, modify and repair building systems and assess the conditions of all effective operations.Identifying faults and implementing preventative methods. Replace parts/supplied and authorize the purchase of new parts and supplies.Test safety systems, eg. emergency lighting and record keepingPerform inspections on a regular basis of working orders and checks adjusts repairs and monitor the building system.Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Gulph Creek Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.Comply at all times with Gulph Creek standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.Assist with the implementation preventive maintenance program for all hotel equipment.Assist with periodic inspection of all safety systems.Ensure that room maintenance requests are handled in a prompt and courteous manner.Follow up on all alarms immediately to determine the exact location and cause. Determine emergency status and repair projects.Assist the engineering staff in adhering to Loss Prevention guidelines.Ensuring that the rooms and property are maintained in the best possible condition, with the least inconvenience to guestsMake basic repairs to air conditioners, change filters, clean coils, replace blower motors, etc.Repair/replace tile, grouting, and caulking.Perform basic furniture repairs, and hang pictures.Maintain pool, clean vacuum, adjust chemical levels, change pool valves, and replace filters.Maintain records of pool chemical balance.Perform maintenance and repair work on the interior and exterior of buildings.Testing Pool chemicals dailyReplace parts/supplied and authorize the purchase of new parts and supplies.Ensure that room maintenance requests are handled in a prompt and courteous manner.Follow up on all alarms immediately to determine the exact location and cause.
