The core exhibit follows the story of country music from its folk beginnings through its emergence as a commercial art form. Rotating exhibits examine a broad range of topics, from country classics to ultra-contemporary and emerging artists in American Currents. Provide ongoing maintenance and improvements of the building, artifacts and other assets; including all of the company's locations. A sense of urgency and courteous/professional communication are essential behaviors for this position. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager.Specific Job Duties:Responsibilities will include performing work to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair.Responsibilities will include light HVAC, electrical and plumbing maintenance including detecting and diagnosing problems.Duties may involve light carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.Must have the ability to take control of a situation and resolve issues without direct supervision.Must work well with others and be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and nights . Primary schedule is Friday through Tuesday, 6am - 2pmOther duties as assigned.RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentBasic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, PlumbingMust be able to work a flexible schedule, mostly evenings, weekends and holidays.Preferred Qualifications:Light carpentry skills3 years experience in a position with maintenance dutiesConditions of Employment:Must be able to lift 50 lbs.Position subject to a mandatory background check prior to employment.Computer experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as work order systems, spreadsheets and databasesNotes to Applicant: The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is an equal opportunity employer.
