Maintenance Technician - Manufacturing Expansion - 3rd shiftAbout the Role: We are a rapidly expanding snack food manufacturer, and our growing business has led us to launch a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Alsip, IL. As part of this exciting expansion, we're building an entirely new maintenance team to support our operations, and we're on the lookout for skilled Maintenance Technicians to join us on the 3rd shift. Competitive Pay: Salaries range from $37 to $42 per hour, depending on your electrical experience and education.Your Key Responsibilities: Meet Plant Goals: Ensure that safety, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction objectives are met. Preventative Maintenance: Carry out daily and weekly PMs, while managing projects to keep equipment running smoothly. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Provide prompt and effective troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain high efficiency. Maintenance & Repairs: Handle both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs for all operational equipment. Installation Support: Assist with the installation of new equipment as our facility continues to expand.What You Bring: Experience: At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in food, plastics, packaging, CPG, or another high-speed manufacturing environment. Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical abilities, including experience with PLC troubleshooting, sensors, hydraulics, electric motors, pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, electrical wiring (120/240/480), AC/DC, control voltage, running conduit, pulling wires, and 3-phase motors. Blueprint Reading: Proficient in reading blueprints and electrical schematics. Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, energetic, punctual, and eager to contribute to a team-oriented environment.Preferred Qualifications: Industry Expertise: Knowledge of the food manufacturing industry is a plus. Educational Background: An associate's degree or technical certifications related to maintenance are preferred. Advanced Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot and/or program PLCs, with knowledge of ladder logic.
