Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks in the following areas: carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.Primary Duties:• Responsible for the routine servicing and care of a wide variety of specialized equipment and apparatus in a manufacturing facility including but not limited to CNC machines, surface grinders, lathes, comparators, lasers, and the calibration of surface plates.• Perform scheduled routine maintenance, including disassembling, cleaning, and inspecting machine mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, low-voltage electrical and coolant systems; repair electrical switches, outlets, lighting systems, and fixtures.• Adhere to schedule and complete preventive maintenance in a timely manner; record/document actions taken for preventive maintenance, equipment repair, part usages, etc.• Maintain facilities infrastructure and equipment in various areas, including skilled carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and mechanical work; coordinate and schedule third party service providers as required.• Monitor and evaluate the work of contractors/service providers; oversee services such as trash removal, oil/waste recovery tank, scrap metal, snow removal, air conditioning, lawn care, etc.• Maintain exterior property, including lite snow/ice removal.• Maintenance of shop floor (floor vac, sweeping, mopping & vacuuming), cleaning exterior entryway/cigarette receptacles, cleaning/polishing/floor maintenance, cleaning/disinfecting community surfaces (handrails, water fountains, etc.).• Responsible for ordering supplies, snacks, beverages, and restocking restrooms, janitorial closets, supply shelves; run errands and perform other work-related duties as assigned.RequirementsEducation, Work Experience/Skill Requirements:• High school education or equivalent• Min of 3 years of increasingly responsible general facilities maintenance experience• Solid knowledge of methods and principles of general building maintenance services, including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, heating, ventilation, cooling systems, contract administration, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.• Ability to communicate effectively in English - both oral and written• Ability to work effectively on a computer and to operate programs associated with Microsoft office.• Ability to operate a variety of hand and power equipment in a safe and productive manner.• Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task• Customer service-oriented; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.• Ability to work with minimal supervision• Available to assist in emergency (off-hour) situationsPhysical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:• Valid driver's license, and automobile insurance; ability to run errands with your own vehicle• Ability to safely operate a fork truck and scissor lift• Ability to push/lift 50 pounds• Ability to climb ladders; and to routinely bend, sit kneel, lift, climb ladders, stretch, and walk as required by various duties for extended periods of time.• Ability to work in extreme temperatures• Ability to work around and with lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paintsTo learn more about the company visit:
