Position Summary The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in the planning, development, design, and inspection of various capital improvement projects and engineering projects. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Normal Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Key Responsibilities * Project Management: Oversee and manage various capital improvement projects, including the direction of contractors and consultants. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. * Inspection: Conduct inspections to assess project progress and ensure compliance with project specifications. * Procurement and Contracts: Manage procurement processes, negotiate contracts, and coordinate construction and professional services. * Communication: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including residents, contractors, and city officials. * Technical Expertise: Provide technical advice and assistance to other departments, and ensure that projects adhere to relevant regulations and standards. * Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, review pay estimates, and process change orders. Minimum Requirements: * Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker. * Undergraduate degree in Engineering or a related field of study, or six (6) years of applicable experience in public works operations, which may include plan review, construction inspection and/or related project management. An Associate's degree in a related field may be substituted for two years of required experience. * Motor Vehicle Operator's license valid in the state of Missouri. * Ability to lift and handle a minimum of 75 lbs.
