To learn more about Berry, visit Responsibilities * Responsible for promoting safety awareness and keeping safety as a number one priority on a daily basis * Responsible for conducting monthly safety audits. * Perform repair on process, plant and support equipment * Responsible for preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical equipment and for maintaining proper records for the same. * Responsible for the calibration of electrical equipment and for maintaining proper records for the same. * Responsible for adhering to departmental policies, practices and procedures as defined by the Maintenance Supervisor. * Responsible for promoting a working environment that incorporates a teamwork philosophy. * Responsible for AC/DC Motor Controls. * Responsible for the repair of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. * Responsible for assisting the Engineering department in new equipment installation and existing equipment modifications. * Responsible for the programming of PLC's and related equipment. * Assist mechanical maintenance specialist as needed. * Responsible for training work team members on basic equipment repair, calibration, and change-overs. * Responsible for keeping abreast of technical innovations and develop the expertise directly applicable to plant equipment. * Responsible for reading and understanding wiring diagrams and schematics. * Responsible for any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. * Lifting up to 50 lbs. * Climbing stairs * Working from secured platforms of up to 40 feet high. * Standing for extended periods of time. * Wear all personal safety equipment required by Company policy and follow all Company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications * Two year Vocational/Technical school degree in Industrial Electronics/Electricity or equivalent experience. * Should be computer literate. * Demonstrate the skills necessary to train personnel. * Willingness to further develop skill base with continuing experience and professional training. * Should demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong teamwork relationships. * Should have good communication skills (verbal and written). * Should have at least two yrs. experience as an Industrial Electrician. * Should be available for call-ins and have flexible work hours. * Should have excellent attendance. * Should have excellent safety record.
