Supervisor

The Supervisor reports to the Plant Manager is required to have experience in manufacturing, packaging or warehousing environments. This position is in a fast-paced environment and requires the ability to solve problems and strives to constantly increase efficiencies.Responsibilities: Ensures the team follows SOPs and GMPs.Coordinates resources based on production needs by allocating associates to appropriate workstations.Coordinate the blending, milling, inspection of products.Directs, coaches and trains associates to assure consistent performance and exemplary service.Supports, encourages, and complies with all company policies and procedures.Communicates the long-term vision, sets the daily morale of the team and leads by example.Maintains the flow of processes and makes suggestions for efficiency within the organization.Monitors all equipment and ensures timely repairs.Advises, trains, and instructs associates in all aspects of work and in the safe operation of the equipment and machinery necessary for their position.Works hands-on with associates to ensure products are produced to satisfaction of all policies and procedures.Assigns tasks and schedules priorities to achieve the greatest production with the best efficiency.Facilitates communication with vendors, associates, and managers for successful collaboration and accountability.Additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job trainingBe organized, able to multi-task and prioritizePossess knowledge and experience of supervisory practices and principlesHave 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment (required)Have experience with FDA and GMP regulated industries Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skillsBe able to work in a fast-paced environment and embrace changeBe customer/ associate focused and result drivenProactively make sound decisions with excellent discretionBilingual in both English and Spanish is a plusWork additional shifts beyond the regular work week as required to support the needs of the companyRole's Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift 50lbsMust be able to stand for 8 hoursMust be able to work in a physically challenging environmentWe proudly offer: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with Company Match, Pet insurance and more!We reward the hard work of our team members with fun and exciting company events, Summer Picnic, Festive Packages, Holiday Celebrations, and associate referral bonuses!Founded in 2011, Piping Rock Health Products has gone on to win Long Island's Top Workplaces Award 6 years in a row & securing the spot as Top Supplement Manufacturing Company 2024 by Food Business Review!
