Basic Concepts, Inc, a Justrite Safety Group company, is looking for a Field Service Technician for their Anderson, SC operations. BCI is the world leader in spill containment systems. A successful applicant should be hardworking, self-starting, reliable and have good communication and organizational skills. A Field Service Technician is an individual with great hand dexterity and an eye for quality and attention to detail. Work with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The goal is to ensure the effective installation and manufacture of Oil Containment Liner Systems in accordance with documented installation guidelines. This position will be based out of Anderson, SC RESPONSIBILITIES:Travel to customer job sites within the United States to assist customers with the install of oil containment liners. On-the-road travel at least 90% of the time.Ability to read and understand project drawings to supervise/ perform installation of Oil Containment Liners and accessories. Use hand and power tools required to perform the job but not limited to; hammers, tape measures, utility knives, framing square, hand rollers, heat gun and edging tools. Work with materials such as vinyl, foam, aluminum, steel, and polymer. Complete inspections and conduct repairs if needed. Communicate project progress, site conditions, equipment problems, etc. to the Site Services Coordinator. Enforce compliance with written installation guidelines. Timely submittals of timesheets, expenses, and additional site installation reports. REQUIREMENTS:Construction background - experience with flat roofing liner installation or HVAC. Have a great attitude and willing to grow with the company Diligently follow safe work practices for yourself at all times. Possess a valid Drivers License.Must be able to work overtime as needed Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision Thorough knowledge of commercial construction techniques including plumbing. Ability to travel and stay overnight, away from home 90% of the time. Working Conditions:Able to lift and carry 50 lbs. to waist and over head Ability to use ladders at least 10 feet off the ground. Ability to bend, twist, squat, stand and walk up to 10 hours per day. Wear all required PPE including FR Clothing, knee pads, cut resistant gloves, hearing protection (as required) and safety glasses (as required) Good physical condition and endurance. This position is an outdoor position with travel requirements.
