The Account Manager provides professional service to new and existing clients. This position will handle a diverse book of business. About the Role * Communicate with customers on all facets of their account service needs (i.e., policies, endorsements, audits, proofs of coverage, cancellations) * Processes new/renewal summaries and proposals * New and renewal marketing to carriers * Support all efforts of account retention and growth of existing book of business. * Assists with account rounding offers of new coverage. * Handle claims in the absence of an agency claims coordinator or response to catastrophic events. * Verify that all policies are bound with insurance companies in writing before or on the policy's effective date. * Invoice all new business and renewal policies. * Check new business and renewal policies against applications and binders. * Keep client and policy information in the agency management system updated according to procedures. * Contact the insured as needed to collect outstanding balances according to procedures. * Ensure that all endorsements, audits, cancellations, claims, finance agreements, certificates, and other customer requests are handled in an accurate and timely manner according to procedures. Skills and experience you'll need We seek a candidate with an active P&C license or the ability to obtain one upon hire. We also seek the following: * Strong attention to detail and strong communication skills. * Strong organization and prioritization skills. * Microsoft Products experience (Outlook, Word, Excel). Bonus points if you have: * 3+ years of commercial lines account management experience. * Experience in Applied software.
