He or she also troubleshoots problems dealing with machines. In addition, he or she is responsible for any other task the Maintenance Supervisor deems necessary.This will be a 2nd shift position, Monday - Friday from 3:00pm - 11:30pm. Occasional overtime may be required.Essential Functions:Repair and maintain all plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, production equipment, etc.Adjust and replace parts in machines or equipmentInspect all machinery and equipmentOrder parts for machinery and equipmentFabricate new equipment when neededInstall any equipment neededTrain new Maintenance TechniciansComplete unscheduled downtime recordsPerform total productive maintenance (TPM) tasks as scheduled and understands actions to take when the TPM schedule cannot be met.Lock and unlock plant, verifying that all equipment and water /steam sources are turned off during lock up procedureMaintain a clean work areaUnderstands the importance of Universal Waste Recycling and follows the procedures in EMS category 8.0 for Battery, Oils, and fluorescent Lamp recycling.Reduce utility consumptionSubmit new and/or reactivated gages and calibration standards to Gage ControlMay be responsible for handling hazardous wastePerform Lockout -TagoutConsult the Maintenance Supervisor to determine critical spare parts for any new or modified equipmentConsult affected team members at all locations on any new, repaired, modified equipment, process so similar equipment/ processes are also considered.Send email to other maintenance shifts at that facility of any Down Time on Equipment concerns when possibleKnows how to locate and use the maintenance guides on the Uniseal Intranet.Fulfill emergency response actions as specified in the Emergency Action Plan Skills / CompetenciesSuperior communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsStrong training skillsTime management skillsEducation:High School DiplomaExperience:Maintenance experience preferredManufacturing and/or production experience preferredWork Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
