Field Service Technician Contract to Hire (W2) Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) Job Brief Join our vibrant and family-oriented team in Atlanta, Georgia, as a Field Service Technician, full time and permanent. Key Responsibilities Efficiently manage and execute all on-site technical tasks including installations, repairs, and maintenance as well as large scale installation projects involving advanced technologies in sorting machines such as Camera, Near Infrared or XRF. Diagnose and resolve technical issues across various communication platforms (in person, online, or over the phone). Generate timely and detailed service reports. Collaborate with US-colleagues and HW in Europe in diagnosing software and performance issues and share information to enhance organizational knowledge. Periodically handle phone support hotline as needed, addressing customer inquiries promptly and effectively. Understand and meet customer requirements, making suitable recommendations and building positive relationships. Manage and organize spare parts inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and conducting regular audits and reconciliations. Requirements Proven field service experience in industrial equipment or related field, ideally 5 years or longer and in field of sorting machines. Advanced knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including the ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service such equipment. Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual abilities (e.g. Spanish) are beneficial. Flexibility to work irregular shifts, including weekends and after hours on rare occasions. Proficiency in reading electrical drawings and general computer literacy. Technical degree or certification in a relevant field. Based in Atlanta or willing to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia is ideal. Main territory: North America, with occasional international assignments. Travel requirement is on average 50% of workdays, up to 75% of workdays during peak periods with rare short notice travel for emergency calls. IT skills including experience with Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), proficiency in Windows operating systems, and ability to manage software installations and standard office applications like MS Office.
