Sandpiper Community, Mt. Pleasant Premier Senior Living POSTION SUMMARY: Performs general repair and maintenance in regard to electrical systems, painting and plumbing. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Some training in related field preferred. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: One Year General Building Maintenance Experience. JOB KNOWLEDGE: Ability to use all general repair tools and competently complete all assigned tasks. Quality of Work * Uses integrity, good judgment and problem solving skills in making decisions. * Produces high quality documentation as evidence by the following: * Checks electrical systems such as ale controls, television sets lighting systems and makes minor repairs and replacements. * Performs Preventive Maintenance tasks in rooms, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning hot water heaters, exhaust fans, circulating pumps and similar equipment. * Performs minor replacement and/or repair to kitchen and laundry equipment and any other duties as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Supervisor. * Comply with OSHA and Health rules. * Participates in training and orientation of · other staff. * Performs all other duties as assigned by Management * Takes steps necessary to produce excellent work in any task or job that is assigned. * (For Direct Resident Care Areas) Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, motor and sensory adaptation, cognitive and psychosocial appropriate to the age of the residents served in his/her assigned area. * (For In-Direct Resident Care Support Areas) Provides support activities appropriate to ages served.
