The duties a11d_** **_respo_** **_11sibilities_** **_of the position_** **_ar_** **_e_** **_to he_** **_carried_** **_out bi a ma1111er that is co11siste11t with the mission, values and mission focus of_** **_The_** **_Sisters_** **_of_** **_Bon Secours, and_** **_i11_** **_-li11e_** **_with the orgfl11izatio11_** **_'s_** **_Code of_** **_Conduct._** + Carpentry: Perfom1s basic rough and finished carpentry work in construction and repair of structures such as partitions, walls, doors, fences, window frames, office furniture, roofs, and shelves; + Electrical: Perfo1ms basic electrical installation and repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, cables, power circuits and appliances; repairs lighting systems; inspects electrica1systems for unsafe conditions; + Plumbing/Painting: Identifies and performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains; replaces washers and other minor parts; maintains and monitors septic system; applies and prepares various surfaces for paint, enamel, lacquer, varnish, or stain; repairs wall coverings; + Operates building management system to ensure comfort for employees and guests, while maintaining an efficient use of energy; + Performs general maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, installing shelving and repairing broken fixtures; + Ability to be on-call at least 1 week per month. + All other duties as assigned (example - support Grounds department for snow removal). **EDUCATION AND** **EXPERIENCE** **Required** **Qualifications** + A High School degree or GED; + Minimum of two (2) years working in a maintenance position, or similar type role in which the job duties listed above have been perforn1ed on a regular basis; + Must be able to work well in a team, as well as independently, working with the Maintenance Lead on a daily basis to complete tasks, working with the Maintenance Supervisor when encountering unique situations; + Detail oriented, with considerable attention to ensuring work is completed in a timely manner, meetingany codes or specifications (when necessary), as well as ensuring the work completed is "pleasing to the eyes" of the Sisters and guests; + Proven customer service experience with the ability to interact well with guests, as well as co-workers, when performing duties listed above. **Preferred** **Qualifications** + Technical certifications in plumbing, electrical, heating, etc. would be of benefit to this role.
