The Field Supervisor will support our EHS initiatives that protect employees, customers, and assets allowing all our team members to return home safely every day. This role is instrumental in achieving success through hard work, integrity, and developing yourself and others. RESPONSIBILITIESDirect leadership/supervision for 30+ protectors (field based crews)Support the Area Manager and General Manager in managing and executing company initiativesCollaborate daily with all Area Staff, with a goal of Continuous Improvement in all functional areas of the businessMaintain Field (80%) and Office (20%) ResponsibilitiesEnsure safety, quality, training, employee engagement, and retention standards are metProtect the company's team members, customers, and assets against losses, injuries, and accidents through enforcement of safe work practicesCoach, Motivate, Develop assigned team of protectorsDevelop relationships with new and existing customers to achieve goals and new business opportunitiesPerform job site and vehicle inspections, attend pre-bid meetings, meet with clients, and work in the field with the team as neededAddress customer service issues are promptly and efficiently while providing the highest level of customer serviceAssist in preparing daily schedulesMonitor daily employee issues including payroll, timekeeping, benefits, time off requests, customer issues, and training requirementsFacilitate teambuilding efforts and regular communications with team membersEngage and support the training of new and current employees to reduce turnover, promote efficiency and reduce labor costsObtain ATSSA and state-specific certificationsBecome a subject matter expert in work zone setup/design and professional flaggingOther duties as assigned QualificationsREQUIREMENTS4-year degree in a business-related field is a plus but not requiredHigh School Diploma or GED completion required1-2 years of supervisor experience and building teams with 20+ team memberMust be able to and enjoy connecting with field-level customers and contactsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to build and maintain working relationships with your teamContributes to the engagement and ongoing development of AWP Safety employeesIntermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systemsMust adhere to and promote safe workplace practicesValid drivers' license and ability to meet AWP Safety driver standardsWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include but are not limited to the following:Variable hours of operation based on staffing needs and workloadAbility to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing walking, and drivingRegular exposure to all weather conditions in combination with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditionsMajority of time will be spent in the field (80%)May be required to lift or carry objects up to 40 poundsAdditional InformationWHAT YOU WILL LOVE/PERKSCompany provided vehicle with fuel card, which includes qualified personal use privilegesCareer GrowthPaid Time Off and Paid HolidaysBenefits eligible the 1st of the month following hireAll traditional benefits are offered, including 3 medical plan options and 2 dental plan options, as well as additional benefits such as legal and identity protection, accident, critical illness, and othersCompany paid $50,000 in basic life insuranceCompany paid long term disability (LTD)Health Savings and Flex Spending Accounts Available401(k) with company matchAWP named one of America's Greatest Workplaces 2023 for DiversitySalary range: $60,000-72,000AWP Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
