Position Specific Description Join the world's leading generator of wind energy as a High Voltage Technician at NextEra Energy. As a Field Operations High Voltage Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our high voltage electrical systems. You will assist in the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high voltage equipment and infrastructure. Responsibilities include: * Assisting in the inspection and maintenance of high voltage equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards. * Collaborating with senior technicians to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults and failures within the high voltage system. * Conducting routine tests and measurements on high voltage equipment, accurately interpreting and documenting the results. * Assisting in the commissioning of new high voltage equipment, adhering to engineering specifications and quality standards. * Participating in the scheduling and coordination of maintenance activities, minimizing disruption to the electrical system's operation. * Monitoring and evaluating the performance and condition of high voltage equipment, promptly reporting any abnormalities or potential issues. * Assisting in the repair and replacement of faulty high voltage components, ensuring timely restoration of power supply. * Following established safety protocols and procedures while working with high voltage equipment, minimizing risks to yourself and others. * Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, repairs, and spare parts inventory. * Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in high voltage technology through continuous learning and professional development.
