Job Description: The Easton, Redding and Region 9 Boards of Education are seeking individuals to record and prepare minutes of all regular and special Board meetings that are held throughout the year for each of the three public school districts. Meetings are typically held on the first three Tuesdays of the month beginning at 7:00 p.m. and lasting approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours but may go longer. During the budget preparation season, meetings may occur twice a month in January, February and March, depending on the district, for each Board of Education. Recording equipment is provided by the school districts. Training will be provided. The successful candidate will attend and record the Boards of Education meetings, and then prepare minutes for submission for approval to the Board's secretary. Pay: Meeting length up to two hours = $150 per meeting; meeting length two to three hours = $200; meeting length more than three hours = $250. Meetings are usually held as follows, in this order: 1. Redding Board of Education - Community Room at John Read Middle School, Redding, CT 2. Easton Board of Education - Learning Commons at Helen Keller Middle School, Easton, CT 3. Region 9 Board of Education - Learning Commons at Joel Barlow High School, Redding, CT Candidates must be reliable. Previous experience a plus. Fingerprinting and a complete background check will be required.
