Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Maintenance Technician conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.RequirementsPRIMARY DUTIESProvide technical interface to Product Development for smooth, efficient transfer of products and processes.Machine repair to including electrical repair, trouble shooting, circuit boards, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, Material delivery system, compressors, and chillers, as well as work on silos 50 plus feet high.Record operational data such as pressure readings, length of stroke, feeds and speeds for use in set-up and preventative maintenance records.Comply with all pertinent OSHA standards.Follow and understand acceptable quality control systems associated with parts and tooling.Establish and maintain preventive maintenance procedures and records for all manufacturing equipment.Provide technical support to manufacturing team for all manufacturing processes, as well as all facility support.Ability to read parts breakdown and machine electrical and hydraulic schematics.Participate in production system and quality system efficiency workshops to support continuous improvement.Give advice on technical specifications of new equipment as well as alterations on existing equipment and facilities - making sure that manufacturing, maintainability, Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are being met.Participate in the management of the inventory of spare parts and consumables to eliminate downtime of machines.Keep up-to-date documentation related to maintenance.Flexibility to support 24 hours/7 days schedule.Keep own and adjacent work area clean.Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.Physical RequirementsThis position requires to be able to access equipment to troubleshoot problems; requires continuous standing, climbing, and bending, kneeling, stooping, and crawling; lifting up to 50lbs;. Ability to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or components.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work in seasonal temperatures near moving mechanical parts and work in high, precarious places and where the sound and noise levels are loud and distracting. Employee is required to wear protective items such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GEDPREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Equivalent experienceMINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Plastic Injection Molding in a Manufacturing environment.
