Maintenance and Operations Worker

Are you looking to join a rewarding maintenance team to maintain and improve Prince William County Libraries? The Library Facilities Division is currently accepting applications for a part-time Maintenance and Operations worker (25 hours per week) to help keep the libraries safe and inviting for the public.     Prince William Public Libraries maintains 12 buildings throughout Prince William County and Manassas.  This position will travel to each building to provide exceptional building maintenance services.   About This Role: Complete building maintenance work orders. Repair or assemble/disassemble furniture, shelves, and other library items Painting Basic plumbing Repair of tile or carpet Utilize a Prince William Public Libraries' vehicle to travel to sites. Provide excellent internal customer service to library and county staff.   Minimum Requirements: 8th grade graduation and 12 months of facilities maintenance experience.   Preferences: Experience using basic hand tools such as hammer, screwdrivers, wrenches, and power hand tools Experience repairing and assembling furniture, shelving, whiteboards, and other basic office equipment Experience with indoor painting Experience driving work vans or 20 ft box trucks, in a professional environment. Excellent customer service    Special Requirements: The position requires travel to other branches within the system and other venues as needed. A DMV check will be conducted for employees who drive while on County business.   Work Schedule: This is a part time 25 hour per week (5 hours per day) position.
