The Virginian is actively searching for experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for our Health Care Center (HCC) department. The ideal candidate must be a good communicator, high organizational skills, knowledgeable of Microsoft Office/Point Click Care, and exceptional time management skills. This role will primarily be serving on any of our three skilled healthcare units. Qualifications: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Experience/knowledge in LTC/Skilled/MC/ AL; current clinical knowledge and experience with the senior population. Ability to collaborate and motivate other healthcare providers; strong/effective problem-solving skills. Display enthusiasm, leadership ability and tact. Strong computer skills, proficient with Electronic Health Record. Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of an LPN: * Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), family/social activities and actively promote independent lifestyle of residents. * Responsible for identification of resident medical and behavioral changes and the development and monitoring of care plans and reassessment of each resident. * Provide daily report to the Director of Health Services concerning community conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and needs for nursing supplies. * Provide nursing care according to physician's orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies. * Ensure preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services to residents and assist in the coordination of nursing care with care rendered by other disciplines. Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: * Current nursing license valid the Virginia State Board of Nursing or Compact License * Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the community.
