Customer Service Representative - Recreation (full time with benefits) Position will work closing shift (evenings) and some Saturdays.JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical work involving general customer services, assist in ordering and organizing office supplies, scheduling and planning. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Greet all patrons and provide information on all recreational activities and locations.Register patrons for activities through RecTrac software.Answer multi line phone system and direct all calls to appropriate staff member, department or provide information on all recreational activities and locations.Check-in patrons for classes at facility.Balance daily cash drawer for all sales taken during shift and secure money in safe.Secure building during operating hours and at closing.Work evening and Saturday hours when necessary Distribution and copying of memos, correspondence, flyers, information sheets and other documents.Maintain appearance lobby and office area of building to include public information and bulletin boards.Open, sort and distribute incoming mail.Coordinates with Recreation Support Coordinator and Athletic and Programming Divisions to prepare for each registration seasonPulls information from RecTrac to create and maintain facility calendars for daily events/programming/meetings in the different MPRD program rooms.Serve as essential employee for Town's emergency response plansPerforms other related assigned duties.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK: Associate Degree and 1-3 years of prior work experience Or High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of related work experienceOr equivalent combination of education and experience.First Aid/ CPR, AED and Darkness To Light certifications/training are required within one year of employment.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of office procedures and machines;Skill in the use of personal computers and office software including word processing and spreadsheet applications;Ability to handle problems and emergencies effectively; Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing; Ability to operate a computer; ability to maintain confidential information; Ability to meet and deal appropriately with town employees, officials and the public.Skill in being well organized; Skill in data processing for entry of team rostersAbility to maintain, manage, and organize records; PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, usage of computers and reading.This position requires substantial repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingers. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, grasp or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee consistently maintains balance either sitting, standing or walking and is occasionally required to stoop or crouch. The employee may occasionally push, pull or lift and move objects up to 15 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment involves everyday discomforts typical of offices, with occasional exposure to outside elements.
