The project: Our Mace consultancy pharmaceutical and life sciences sector set out to make a difference in the industry. Established in 2013, the team has grown in size and scope with employees based in the UK, Europe and America, with wider coverage throughout the globe. We provide an end-to-end consultancy service for some of the most notable and innovative life science projects, including manufacturing facilities for several manufacturing market leaders. We leverage the latest innovation, regional expertise and global best practice to continuously improve and advance infrastructure delivery, advising on critical public services and works of cultural importance, driving growth and delivering some of the world's most technically complex and inspiring programs of work. Mace is seeking a full-time senior project manager for life science and manufacturing and technology projects to work directly with our clients on capital projects. This will be an on-site position based in Indianapolis. Client focus - Deliver on our promise: * You will lead the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives. * You will be the relationship owner and primary contact for Mace executive team engagement, and responsible for ensuring efficient governance to achieve our strategic priorities. * You will be responsible for key client relationship management, and converting the client's vision into a deliverable onsite plan. * Providing program level leadership as an extension of the client's senior leadership team to ensure the overall successful completion of the program/s as may be assigned. * Establishing key relationships with the client and other key stakeholders. * Directing the specialist design team, construction supervision and cost consultants throughout the project. * Implementing an appropriate and effective project management framework. * Effectively managing the performance of the program team to execute assigned capital programs and projects, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery on large complex programs and projects. * Acting as the key client and consultant interface at all project stages ensuring that client and quality objectives are met, and projects are delivered within safety, quality, time and cost targets. * Directing project planning and production of the detailed project plan. * Directing and managing the cross-functional project team. * Providing strategic advice from project conception stage to achieve overall objectives, development of success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters until completion and handover. * Anticipating and implementing strategies to address quality, safety, health and environment issues. * Establishing/implementing/managing the effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout a project. * Monitoring and applying performance management techniques using KPI's to improve project performance. * Monitoring and advising upon project finances and procurement of resources. * Managing the reporting and the flow of program/project information between the team and the client. You'll need to have: * Relevant degree (MS or MBA preferred). * Project Management Institute (PMI) certification or program management certification. * Demonstrated capital program leadership experience. * Experience effectively managing integrated team(s) on large complex and multi-phase life science and manufacturing and technology capital programs. * Knowledge of multiple project delivery methods, including alternative project delivery (design build and construction manager at risk).
