Position Information Classification Title Student Assistant (NE) FLSA UGA Job Code FTE 0.5 Minimum Qualifications Position Summary Perform general farm maintenance and assist other researchers in peanut and vegetable research. Specific tobacco duties include transplanting, making counts, topping and suckering, weeding, harvesting tobacco leaves, loading and unloading curing barns, weighing cured leaf samples, grinding cured leaf samples and entering data. General farm duties include mowing grass, cleaning yards, cleaning buildings, painting, and repairing water lines. Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position High School Diploma is preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Physical Demands Physical requirements include working outdoors, bending, lifting, digging, and walking.
