JOB SUMMARYThe Post-Harvest Associate will be responsible for preparing and processing harvests for flower sales and oil extraction. The Post-Harvest Associate will also be responsible for equipment sanitization and sterilization as well as maintaining facilities cleanliness.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITESManicuring cannabis in preparation for packaging Accurately weigh and record post-harvest material sand cannabis productsFollow Standard Operating procedures for debucking, trimming, grinding, drying, and curing cannabis harvests in preparation for oil extraction and/or flower salesMaintain a neat and organized work area allowing for the proper segregation of materials and processesPrecise hand trimming will be required for flower salesResponsible for facility and equipment cleaning in a clean room manufacturing environment to maintain required standardsResponsible for organizing work areas and performing daily tasks such as washing and sanitizing equipment and racking systems Responsible for weighing, filling, and packaging work related to flower products using aseptic technic so that no contamination is introduced into the process or materialSanitization and sterilization of post-harvest processing equipment such as stainless-steel racks and shelvesRoutine and real time visual quality inspection of cannabis products for correct product consistency while trimmingAccurately weigh/count and record cannabis productsComply with all applicable government regulations and Company policies and procedures, including sanitation, security, workplace safety, and confidentiality, among othersParticipate in upfront and ongoing training to master skills needed to complete relevant tasksIdentify and communicate issues and assist in troubleshooting, identifying potential solutions, and in implementing and monitoring corrective actionsHelp prepare for audits and assist state and local governmental auditors and law enforcement with their audits as neededTrack data to comply with applicable rules and to support management decision-makingContribute ideas to help improve Company's choices for ingredients, equipment and methodologies, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materialsStrict adherence to procedures and practices according to internal SOP and state regulationStrong emphasis on documentation according to state regulationsAdhere to the departmental, site and safety policiesJOB REQUIREMENTSWell organized and ability to keep deadlinesWorks well with all peersEffective time-management skills and ability to multi-taskAbility to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environmentBasic Excel, Word, and general compute knowledgeFast, efficient, nimble.Experience working in a shifting environment with a great deal of constructive feedback and inputMust be 21 years or older and pass any and all required pre-employment screeningsFull knowledge of all applicable law, regulations, and requirements to keep the facility at 100% compliance at all times, this includes being up to date on any changes to current applicable laws/regulationsMust be and remain compliant with any and all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industryMust be able to obtain and retain a Registered Agent Card issued by the state of operationMust have excellent organization and time management skillsMust be focused, pay close attention to detailMust be able to internalize training and follow instructionsMust be able to communicate clearly and effectivelyOther duties and responsibilitiesCOMPANY OVERVIEWAscend Wellness Holdings (AWH) is a vertically integrated cannabis cultivator, processor and provisioning center operator with assets in Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
