Yes Pay Information $18.75 - $20.68 Pay Schedule Hourly FLSA Designation Non-Exempt Position Summary Under General direction from the Supervisor and or Manager the Irrigation Technician will assist with irrigation operations and perform general landscape and grounds maintenance functions. The irrigation technician involves a wide range of responsibilities including adjusting controllers, irrigation repairs, troubleshooting, coordinating water usage, spring start up, winterization, irrigation locates for construction, grounds and landscaping task, snow and ice removal, and other related duties as assigned. Job Duties Responsibility Area: Irrigation Operations Duties: Adjust controllers, coordinate with supervisor and or manager to make decisions of irrigation water use, trouble shooting of irrigation system, spring start up and winterizations, assist contractors, irrigation locates in construction areas, estimates of cost for material needed, keep adequate supply of supplies, and maintain equipment of UNO's irrigation systems. Percentage Of Time 25 Essential Function: Yes Responsibility Area: Maintenance & Troubleshooting Duties: perform corrective and preventative maintenance, diagnose, and correct electrical issues. Percentage Of Time 25 Essential Function: Yes Responsibility Area: Grounds & Landscape Maintenance Duties: Care and upkeep of UNO's grounds and landscape by mowing, trimming, mulching, trash, plant care, equipment maintenance, weed control, workorders and other related duties as assigned. Percentage Of Time 25 Essential Function: Yes Responsibility Area: Emergency Response Duties: Respond to emergencies on campus that may arise. Subject to 24-hour callback for emergencies and needed coverage. Percentage Of Time 10 Essential Function: Yes Responsibility Area: Communication Duties: Responds and generates emails to staff and contractors about any irrigation related topics.
