Job DescriptionJob Objective:The purpose of the Store Production/Department Supervisor is to oversee the production process and the personnel assigned to that process with a focus on meeting established production/sales quotas/goals.Essential Functions:This job description should not be interpreted as all-inclusive. The requirements listed are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for the position.List functions here:- Assign, direct and ensures completion of daily tasks for production/department team members.Including housekeeping for spaces assigned.- Trains new team members on production expectations and processes.- Provides quality control inspections, ensuring that only the best product makes it to the floor. (Good,Better, Best)- Tracks and reports production at scheduled times.- Participates in production processes as needed.- Proficiently uses cash register at locations that require.- Implement assigned strategies to meet product acquisition, production and sales goals for theday/week/month.- Knowing the product acquisition, production and sales goals.- Diligently implement product rotation process.o Communicates with assigned personnel to place supply orders for next day's processing.o Supports management with store maintenance and appearance.• Follow procedures for maintenance and safety concerns.• are prepared for the next day's production.o Looks for ways to improve donor and shopper experience.o Communicates with the Store Management regarding all facets of the stores operations,keeping them updated on all incidents and concerns for assigned areas.o Supports management in creating a positive understanding of policies and procedures.Directs complaints and criticism to management.o Supports the protection of the resources under their supervision.• Implement Product Control Procedures preventing shrinkage through theft orspoilage.• Control property, utility and product supply waste.- Other Duties: Other duties as assigned by manager or assistant manager.ADDENDUM:- Donation Area Supervisorso Sort, load, and unload all SA trucks per center policy while ensuring order and safety for allitems being loaded/unloaded.o Receive and receipt donated material as requested by donor, tracking donations per centerpolicy.• Courteously advise donors of material which is not acceptable.o Where and when applicable, power sort donations as they come in.The Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer. Has experience followingand giving direction.Skills/Abilities:- Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communicationwith leadership and field personnel.- Basic computer skills including but not limited to the use of payroll program and the ability to learnother programs or systems that are adopted by the TSA ARC.- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, ordiagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardizedsituations.- Ability to use basic math skills.- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background test.Supervisory Responsibility:Oversees production team members assigned by management.
