Sorts and distributes incoming mail and packages, assists with outgoing mail and packages, and provides administrative support with outgoing letters from the SAA and DSAA as needed. Maintains overall appearances of the office, and ensures supplies are available and office machines are operational. Coordinates various administrative tasks and problem solves to ensure the smooth operation of the Executive Office and the SAA as a whole. Performs policy coordinator duties to include coordinating leadership review and editorial tracking of policies, letters, certificates, and letters, and prepares and updates office policy and process guidance documentation. Other duties as assigned. Required Work Experience * Three years of customer service/receptionist experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Work experience in a Senate office or committee is desirable as that is our customer base. Required Special Skills/ Knowledge * Ability to write well and problem-solve. * Ability to multi-task several responsibilities while simultaneously providing exceptional customer service. * Ability to answer a multi-line phone system with a high call volume. * Knowledge of office equipment, computers, and the ability to learn specialized scheduling software and other programs. * Ability to provide exceptional customer service to a variety of guests and customers. * Ability to learn the Capitol building and surrounding area. * Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. * Ability to follow specific rules, regulations, procedures and protocols. * Ability to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, guests, and the public.
