Responsibilities: Prepare various types of sushi, including sashimi, nigiri, and rolls, using high-quality, fresh ingredients. Ensure all sushi is crafted with precision, maintaining excellent presentation and consistency. Collaborate with the kitchen team to design and execute sushi menu items, staying up to date with trends and customer preferences. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the sushi preparation area, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Inspect and manage the freshness of all seafood and ingredients, maintaining a high level of quality control. Monitor inventory levels and communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of ingredients. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, as necessary, to support the development of sushi preparation skills. Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail and a positive attitude. Ensure adherence to Casa Tua culinary standards and values, creating a memorable experience for our guests. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in a high-end restaurant or sushi bar. Mastery of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and knowledge of sushi-grade fish. Ability to work with a variety of ingredients and create traditional and innovative sushi dishes. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and presentation. Familiarity with food safety guidelines and sanitation regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Culinary degree or relevant certifications in sushi preparation are preferred but not required. Working Environment: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks. Working in a high-temperature environment.
