Responsibilities 005488 This role entails coordinating animal care activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards within the Office of Animal Resources/Laboratory Animal Services. Additionally, this position will manage the procurement of animals and all related functions. * Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. * Coordinate the activities of the researchers in the purchasing of animals and related functions. * Enter animal orders into Key Solutions database. * Process any standing orders. * Coordinate the printing out and sorting of weekly setup, receiving documents and cage cards * Backup for the International shipments of animals from Jefferson * Backup for the Domestic shipments of animals to and from Jefferson. * Place credit card orders * Maintain the Petty Cash * Perform administrative duties for the office (meeting scheduling, email distribution, etc.) * Other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or a related field preferred. Experience: * Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in animal care, research service, or a related field, preferably in a coordinator role. 2 years of administrative experience required. * Knowledge of animal care regulations and ethical standards. * Strong organizational and communication skills. * Proficient in data management and reporting. * Proficient computer skills are required. * Experience in a research office or lab environment is a plus.
