Compensation: $21.62 per hourStivers is currently hiring a Customer Service Representative for our client in Aurora, IL. In this position, you will assist with general inquiries and clarify on how to complete various forms and applications for the billing department. Customer service and knowledge of billing practices are essential to this role. Essential Functions of the Job Serves as receptionist greeting, announcing, and directing visitors; schedules appointments; answers public inquiries and refers others to appropriate party. Opens, reads, sorts, files, and distributes mail. Types a variety of material from diverse sources other than direct oral dictation to include statistical, numerical, or technical data, reports, correspondence, ordinances, and memoranda. Establishes and maintains a variety of general office files and confidential files. Disseminates information to field workers via telephone or two-way radio. Assists the public in completing various forms such as permits and applications. Issues permits and certificates of occupancy. Performs data entry and word processing functions. Prepares correspondence, water bills, and various materials for distribution or mailing. Orders or requisitions supplies and servicing for equipment; prepares payroll and maintains records of expenditures. May perform physical inventories and stock office supplies. Assists in gathering information for the preparation of reports. Required Knowledge and Abilities Requires working knowledge of office procedures and practices and ability to apply basic business arithmetic. Requires working knowledge of billing and other time schedules. Requires ability to communicate effectively orally via telephone and two-way radio, and ability to compose tactful and intelligent written correspondence Requires ability to operate a variety of office equipment requiring continuous or repetitive arm-hand movements. Requires ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods of time at workstation or public service counter. May require the ability to drive a motor vehicle in order to pick up or deliver mail. May require the ability to move light objects short distances and lift arms above shoulder level to stock shelves or retrieve office supplies. Qualifications for Hire Requires high school diploma or GED with course work in typing and general office procedures. Requires the ability to type 40 words per minute corrected. Requires two (2) years clerical experience. #SSO
