Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cafeteria Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for about 200 hotel staff members. This role requires a candidate with strong catering and prep experience who can handle high-volume cooking while maintaining consistent quality and portion control. Key Responsibilities: Season and cook meals for 200+ hotel staff members, ensuring high-quality and flavorful dishes. Follow a predetermined menu and adhere to the daily and weekly meal schedule. Ensure proper portion sizes are served according to the menu guidelines. Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment to meet the demands of the cafeteria. Prepare ingredients in advance (prep work) to ensure smooth service times. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and prep areas. Monitor food storage and inventory, and ensure food safety standards are met at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff and follow instructions from the head chef or supervisor. Qualifications: Proven experience as a cook, ideally with catering or high-volume cafeteria experience. Strong knowledge of meal prep and portioning for large groups. Ability to follow menus and schedules with precision. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Ability to lift and move kitchen supplies as needed.
