Jaffa Bar is an oyster bar showcasing the flavors of Israel with the spirit of our great city, and the newest concept for the CookNSolo restaurant group, the award-winning team behind Zahav. We are looking for a fired-up Oyster Shucker to be a part of the Jaffa team. Direct responsibilities for an Oyster Shucker include but are not limited to: Handling a high volume restaurant with an upbeat attitude in an open kitchen Communicating with staff members and guests' effectively and seamlessly Being self-motivated to provide exceptional hospitality Reading tickets quickly and acting as your own expeditor in a fast-paced work environment Engaging in an immaculately clean and inviting restaurant Supporting fellow Front and Back of House team members The right candidate is exceedingly dependable, puts forth a great attitude, is looking to both learn and grow every day, and is committed to the tight team. Candidates with an open schedule strongly preferred. This is a 4-5 shift per week position and weekends are required. Starting rate is $18-20 per hour depending on experience. Jaffa Bar is co-owned by chef Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook, who combined are five-time James Beard Award winners. The distinctive CookNSolo concepts are: Zahav, Laser Wolf, Abe Fisher, Goldie, K'Far, and Lilah Events, all in Philadelphia.
