Chef

Good Thanks Cafe is a popular and very busy Cafe in the Lower East Side and we are looking for a Chef that is capable of smoothly running the kitchen. Our cafe is open 7 days a week from 8-4pm. The role here will be 5 days must include weekends, from 7am-3pm The main jobs include:  - Food/produce ordering   - Cooking on the line  - Supervising and checking prep   - managing the team of dishwashers, prep cook and line cooks (only 5 people in total) We are looking for a confident and hard working person that will care about quality and consistency of the food and the whole kitchen. We will be looking for people with - Good communication skills - Ability to notice problems and solve them - Desire to uphold the best standards of cooking - Ability to cook under pressure on the line on busy weekends Please send cover letter and resume we are super excited to hear from you.
