The concept features an omakase-style pizza experience, offering a carefully curated selection of pizzas alongside fresh salads, pastas, and a minimal yet creative menu. We are looking for a chef who thrives on creative freedom and culinary innovation. The ideal candidate will have full control over the menu, designing bold and dynamic dishes that pair with a renowned beverage and beer program. This is an extraordinary opportunity for someone with experience in high-end restaurants, specializing in wood-fired pizza and pasta, to take their craft to the next level. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Menu Creation:** Develop a unique menu centered around Tokyo-style omakase pizza, complemented by inventive pastas and salads. - **Kitchen Leadership:** Oversee all kitchen operations, including hiring and mentoring staff such as a Sous Chef and Pizzaiolo. - **Focus on Presentation:** Ensure each dish is beautifully presented, maintaining the restaurant's high standards for both flavor and aesthetics. - **Innovative Pizza Program:** Perfect wood-fired pizza techniques and create a memorable omakase-style pizza experience. - **Team Building:** Foster a positive, efficient kitchen environment, leading the team during high-volume service. - **High Standards:** Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and quality across all kitchen operations. - **Opening Experience:** Play a key role in launching the new concept, from kitchen setup to menu testing. **Requirements:** - At least 5+ years of experience in high-end restaurants, with a focus on Italian cuisine, wood-fired pizza, and pasta. - Proven experience in menu creation and concept development. - Strong leadership skills, capable of building and leading a kitchen team. - A deep passion for pizza-making and culinary innovation. - Familiarity with the NYC dining scene and what it takes to succeed in this competitive market. **Compensation:** - Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 annually, depending on experience. - Benefits: Health care coverage (medical and dental) and 2 weeks of PTO.
