Located in the West Village, Barbuto is a bustling restaurant serving California-inspired Italian dishes to a neighborhood clientele as well as visitors from around the world. Opened in 2004 by Chef Jonathan Waxman, the easy going atmosphere and technical approach to cooking have made Barbuto a staple of the New York restaurant scene.  We are seeking a charismatic and professional host to join our front of the house team. Ideal candidates will have a genuine appreciation of hospitality, welcoming demeanor and great communication skills. At least one year of experience in an upscale casual environment is preferred.  Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Using Resy software Timely greeting and seating guests Answering reservation inquiries, confirmation calls and other general questions  Maintaining host stand cleanliness Ability to multi-task and maintain professionalism in a high pressure environment Coordinating with management to maximize seating and keep tight turns on time Maintaining wait list
