Upscale Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced Restaurant Host for an Upper East Side fine-dining Italian restaurant . In this position, you w ill greet and seat guests as they arrive , along with taking reservations . Our ideal applicant has hospitality and food service experience and work s well in a team environment. Location: Primary responsibilities: Open door for guests arriving and departing Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant Guide guests to their table and accommodate specific seating requests to the best of your ability Provide customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have Accommodate any other special needs or requests of guests Maintain a clean and organized work area Make reservations when guests call or make requests in-person Manage restaurant waiting list during peak times to accurately set guest expectations Skills and qualifications: Must have an upbeat, outgoing, and positive attitude Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a team Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time Languages: French and Italian (highly preferred) Compensation and benefits: Competitive hourly rate based on experience Medical benefits Great opportunities for growth Compensation Details: Hourly ( $ 20.00 - $ 24.00 ) ***WEEKEND AVAILABILITY NEEDED "¨ ***EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Le Bilboquet provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type with respect to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
