Inventory Specialist - ATO Location: Baltimore/Washington D.C. Responsibilities: * Provides direct support for all inventory control and warehouse functions. * Perform daily cycle counting of inventory. * Perform general inventory control tasks and year-end special tasks, in a timely and accurate manner. * Lead and conduct Inventory improvement projects as required. * Perform on-going consolidation of inventory. * Reports inventory metrics: Cycle Counting, Valuation, Capacity, etc. * Accurately executes all inventory counts and enters inventory data and adjustments into ERP system. * Respond to routine requests/issues and timely escalates issues requiring the involvement of others. * Operate forklifts and other equipment to transport materials. * Arranges warehouse space as required for optimal access to various materials. * Create new and better ways to improve inventory operations, methods, and procedures; proposes significant and constructive ideas for * innovation. * Coaches team members on inventory control methods and practices. * Ensures open communication and collaboration with team members, Leads and Supervisors throughout the Operations group to promote an * environment of teamwork. * Support supervisors by providing input on individual and team performance. * Performs housekeeping duties as required. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. * Follow the attendance policy of the Department. * Proactively supports safe work practices and a safe work environment. * Follow all safety procedures and policies. Position Requirements: * A High School Diploma or GED equivalent. * At least two (2) years of experience in warehousing and inventory control. * At least one (1) year of previous experience using ERP software such as Oracle or SAP. * Able to prioritize, and delegate tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Must have strong attention to detail. * Specific experience operating forklifts of various types (such as cherry pickers, turret trucks, etc.). * Must be willing to cross-train in other work centers as needed. * Strong communication skills both verbal and written. * Able to safely work for extended periods of time, mostly standing, well beyond an 8-hour workday, lift materials up to 45 pounds. * Experience with the Microsoft Office suite. * Exhibits teamwork and self - management practices. * Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Works overtime flexible schedules, holidays, and weekends as required. Preferred Requirements: * At least five (5) years of experience in warehousing and inventory control. * At least three (3) years of experience using ORACE ERP software. * Previous experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment. * Qualified forklift certification. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
