Cafe Server

Gem is opening a daytime cafe and looking for cafe servers to join the opening team! A cafe server will be responsible for assisting guests and taking payments. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Showing up to work on time with specified uniform Organizing and communicating shift coverage in advance Processing sales transactions and taking payments Calculating the cost of products or services Calculating and returning change for cash transactions Reconciling cash drawers and sales receipts Maintaining clean and tidy checkout and merchandise areas Assisting in stocking and rotating merchandise Setting and clearing the dining room Learning the menu and dietary restrictions Maintaining breakage logs and inventory logs Clocking in and clocking out Working agreed upon number of weekly shifts (for example - if scheduled for two shifts per week, you must work a minimum of two shifts per week) Ability to stand for 6 hours at a time.
