GET TO KNOW THE ROLE The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for transporting goods to, from and throughout the property as assigned. Store and distribute materials, supplies, equipment, and product ordered by various departments and delivers goods, along with applicable paperwork, to appropriate departments and food and beverage outlets. Maintain property warehouse and receiving areas in clean and orderly condition, by performing heavy cleaning using the proper safe handling of equipment and chemicals to complete tasks as assigned. Maintain health & safety standards and regulations, as required. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Be the face of MCR for new hires and team members; exemplify MCR's values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism. * Practice, support and promote the mission, vision, and values of Muckleshoot Casino Resort (MCR). * Assist with unloading trucks, checking merchandise, and matching purchase orders to goods. * Inspect goods for proper quantities and visible damage. * Report damaged product and/or quality issues to Supervisor. * Sort and place goods or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence and established department policy and procedure. * Transfer distributed goods to secure storage areas or directly to department personnel. * File and/or enter applicable paperwork in accordance with established department policy and procedure. * Operate forklift and other lifting devices or hand trucks. * Rotate food and liquor items in the warehouse area (including coolers and freezers). * Maintain a secure, clean, and orderly warehouse area. * Assist with monthly inventory. * Assist with receiving and inventorying all inbound items into the warehouse management system daily. * Assist with physical disposal of assets following Muckleshoot Casino Resort standard operating procedures. * Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse and receiving interior and exterior areas following health and safety standards. * Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment. * Work in high level areas using tools such as ladders and scissor lifts. * Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive and safe work environment; promote positive team member relations and reports issues to appropriate personnel. * Perform other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU'LL BRING * One to Three (1-3) years warehouse experience preferred. * Previous office/clerical experience preferred. * Must have and maintain a valid Washington State Driver's License. * Forklift certification preferred. * Experience with floor maintenance equipment and various cleaning chemicals preferred. HOW YOU'LL BE SUCCESSFUL * Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and the chemicals used in the department and Hazard Waste Management. * Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) or safety regulations, as required. * Ability to demonstrate high-energy individual with a strong work ethic. * Ability to be self-motivated and work with limited supervision. * Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Read, write, and speak English fluently. * Ability to demonstrate independent decision-making skills to accomplish tasks. * Ability to work flexible work schedule due to changing operational needs. * Ability to demonstrate computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook * Ability to provide accurate entry of data and ability to handle administrative tasks as assigned. * Ability to demonstrate strong organization and prioritizing skills. * Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and steam cleaners. * Ability to demonstrate proficient mathematical skills. * Ability to utilize health & safety standards and regulations, as required. WHAT TO EXPECT * Availability - Ability to work 40+ hours a week, holidays, weekends, and nights to support a 24/7 operation. * Physical - Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
