JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the short and long term facility requirements to support current production planning, long term corporate growth, and new product development and manufacturing. This role is responsible for assisting to improve on-time delivery by properly planning the facilities constraintPRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOptimize production planning throughout the organization leveraging SAP toolset to drive business systematically while increasing factory throughputIdentify and exploit capacity constraints to the Manufacturing and Production team to work on synchronizing and elevating the performance of the constraint Maintain appropriate buffers to account for variability and machine capacityGenerate monthly reports and track metrics for key business performance indicators relating to manufacturing process executionCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve strategies and processes that drive on-time delivery and cycle time reductionFollows and revises procedures required to support of the operation execution process and scheduling applicationsParticipate as a member of the operations team in making cross-functional operational decisions, including transformation planning and financial target setting to meet department Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash objectives.Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, maintaining and aligning company policies that adhere to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSAP scheduling functionalityAbility to organize and prioritize work assignments and projectsWorking knowledge of Kanban pull replenishment systemsExperience in production planning / level scheduling in a highly complex low volume / high mix manufacturing environmentPossess a working knowledge and understanding of lean principles and processesProficient in Microsoft Office with ability to analyze data and trends to result in actionKnowledge of processes, tools and operations considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle.Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facilityStrong analytical skills and financial understanding EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONSRequired Education / ExperienceBS / BA degree in materials supply chain management, engineering, business or similar field5-8 Years in FieldPreferred Education / ExperienceSix Sigma CertificationAPICS CertificationERP/MRP User (SAP)BI Analytics (Qlik)ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONKey Working RelationshipsTraffic, Supply Chain, Shipping and Sales.
