Job Summary: Sargent & Greenleaf is looking for a self-motivated individual who will handle daily indirect purchase requests, tracking savings associated with these purchases. This position will also work with our inventory team tracking inventory and serializing products for shipments. Requirements Responsibilities: Purchasing * Own, maintain, and coordinate in-bound material shipments to ensure timely receipt of materials of indirect and MRO orders * Review requisitions and create purchase orders with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule * Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials * Develop and maintain vendor relationships consistent with procedures and working with Quality, Engineering and Finance related to vendor onboarding, vendor reviews, vendor partner network * Purchase stock and special-order material based on established procedures utilizing the NetSuite system, reports, and inventory classification * Follow up with suppliers concerning order status and delivery and communicate delivery information to impacted departments * Develops and maintains required purchasing records and reports * Responsible for managing a variety of indirect categories including, but not limited to, Maintenance Repair & Operational (MRO) such as: packaging components (shrink wrap, corrugation, tape), equipment parts and supplies * Track all indirect and MRO savings by month against set pricing, to establish actual savings. Inventory Management * Maintain and update inventory records and system to ensure accurate and timely inventory tracking. * Manage inventory aging and coordinate proper rotation or disposal of obsolete inventory. * Participate in regular inventory counts and coordinate physical inventory audits as needed. * Sheperd the SIOP process to ensure required cadence of monthly meetings, including demand consensus, rough cut capacity, business and executive meetings. * Partner with master scheduler and operations teams to ensure creating of a supply plan that best supports the demand plan and maximizes sales, inventory and cost goals. * Use and maintain current demand planning systems to create the best statistical forecast possible using established processes. * Assess the impact of market changes or significant variances in the forecast and recommend appropriate revisions and tactics. * Manage statistical forecast exceptions by utilizing demand planning exception reports to identify and fix potential issues. * Collect past/future demand inputs (distribution gains/losses, price changes, new/discontinued products, promotion plans, etc.) from sales and marketing and forecast/model their impacts on demand. * Interact with other functional areas to understand and interpret the potential impact market trends and demand drivers can have on demand and adjust the statistical forecast to reflect those impacts. * Work with various cross functional teams on projects such as new product launches, line extensions, product discontinuations, etc. Demonstrate sound business decision-making, aligned with company goals. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Competencies: * Basic knowledge of transportation, supply chain, inventory management and warehousing disciplines. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Proficient with MS Office suite - advanced skills with MS Excel. * Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail. * Excellent organization, communication and follow-up skills. * Ability to self-direct and take some action in ambiguous situations. * Must have demonstrated experience with MRP/ERP systems. * Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred. Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in supply chain, industrial engineering or equivalent degree. * 1 - 3 years prior experience in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing environment or related field.? Physical Requirements: * Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.? * Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.? * Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization's physical premises.?
