Apply Job Type Full-time Description JOB DESCRIPTION Title: Hunting and Shooting Recruitment, Retention, Date: 6/8/2023 and Reactivation (R3) Coordinator - Arizona Full-Time or Part-time: Full-time Department: Conservation Reports To: National Director of Education and Employment Category: Salary/Exempt Outreach Programs Job Summary: This position is a cooperative effort between the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) and the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD). The Hunting and Shooting Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3) Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and collaborating with various partnership organizations to assess gaps in current hunting and shooting sports R3 programs and initiatives and implementing efforts to develop clear and measurable pathways for hunting and shooting sports recruitment, retention and reactivation in Arizona. Supervisory Responsibilities: * None Duties and Responsibilities: * Play an essential role in Arizona's extensive statewide partnership enhancing communication, coordination and cooperation of Arizona's hunter recruitment, retention and reactivation efforts based on models of success, and current R3 science * Expand mentor recruitment, retention, and reactivation program, using recruitment events, mentor database, and mentor allocation * Evaluate and improve efforts, based upon multiple data sources and analysis to continue to improve and measure R3 efforts * Solicit, collect, collate, and organize annual events from partners for publishing; enter into event registration system and share with partners * Maintain learn to hunt Facebook page, events and activities to engage partners and public * Assess the various gaps / opportunities that exist in recruitment, retention, reactivation pathways and develop approaches for filling them * Work with stakeholders to provide a greater number of effective mentoring opportunities for new hunters * Prepare, develop and present to large groups; motivate partners; engaged in public forums about Arizona R3 * Plan, develop, coordinate, host and lead meetings, workgroups, gatherings, trainings and other events for partners and public * Conduct hands-on activities at public events, expos and other outreach events * Manage data collected from online registration * Find opportunities in existing shooting sports programs for conversion to hunting activities * Align new and existing mentoring efforts/outreach programs with models of success * Assist with various programs where applicable including: NWTF and other partner education/outreach programs such as Expos, Outdoor Discovery Programs, etc... * Attend annual NWTF Convention, regional meetings and training opportunities, as necessary. * Performs other related duties as assigned Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: * Experience with data analysis, marketing, social media platforms including online program delivery * Experience in partnership development * Excellent communication and organization skills, self-motivated and able to motivate others * Experience hosting public meetings and speaking in front of large groups * Experience with coordinating and evaluating education programming * Ability to work irregular schedules including some weekends, evenings and overnight stays * Able to drive a state vehicle * Self-starter with the ability to work with little direct supervision at certain times * Experience with strategic planning, leading diverse stakeholder groups in planning efforts Education and Experience: * Undergraduate degree in human dimensions, education, fish and wildlife management, biology, marketing, natural resources management or similar related field Physical Requirements: * Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
