We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.Position Summary:The Conflicts Manager is responsible for guiding and managing the overall provision of the conflicts full review services as well as the application of firm procedures and policies as it pertains to the review of new intake requests working closely with the Director of Conflicts and Intake, firm attorneys and other levels of firm administration to facilitate resolution of conflicts of interest and business sensitivity issues. Duties & Responsibilities:Manages and coordinates team consisting of a Supervisor, Coordinators, and Analysts to identify and facilitate resolution of conflicts of interest, business sensitivity and firm policy issues as it relates to requests for potential new business submitted by all GT officesAssists attorneys in the identification and resolution of conflicts of interest, business sensitivity and firm policy issues; coordinates and reviews receipt of client waivers and/or consentsConsults the Director of Conflicts and Intake, and other members of the firm's management, as necessary, to receive guidance on the identification and resolution of conflicts of interest, business sensitivity issues, and firm policy issuesAssists the Director of Conflicts and Intake in connection with the development and implementation of conflicts and compliance related policies and proceduresAssists the Director of Conflicts and Intake in connection with the assessment of and improvement to, and development, testing and implementation of existing and new conflicts and compliance related technologies, processes and proceduresOversees the Supervisor, Coordinators, and Analysts conflicts processing of intake requests regarding the identifying and facilitating resolution of conflict of interest, business sensitivity and firm policy issues; and other administrative assignments concerning the Full Review process, as assignedOversees team assignments and monitor the progress and quality of work product generated by reporting team membersParticipate in the review and selection of potential new hire candidates for the teamAssesses the needs of and continue to develop all reporting team members through ongoing mentoring and trainingReviews and approves time sheets and requests for leave submitted by reporting team membersEnsures reporting team members' compliance with GT policies; and provide appropriate and timely counseling and documentation for team members' filesPrepares annual performance evaluations of reporting team membersWorks Closely with the Marketing Department and Office of Firm Counsel, Assistant General Counsel with the conflicts review of marketing initiatives, to include but not limited to, RFPs, and firm pitchesAssists the department with a wide range of research and other requests as may be assignedSkills & Competencies:Provide outstanding client service, meet high quality standards for services and meet or exceed client expectations. This position may also be sedentary and require the employee to sit for extended periods of timeRequires manual dexterity to dial a telephone, enter data into a computer, handle objects and operate toolsQualifications & Prior Experience:Advanced graduate degree or JD desiredAdvanced degree preferably in competitive intelligence, research studies or a similar field of studyMinimum 4 years' experience as a Paralegal, Litigation Legal Assistant, Legal Researcher or other comparable position consisting of researching in a legal environment preferred, or business experience in an analytical rolePrevious experience supervising others requiredComputer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OutlookExceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quicklyGreenberg Traurig is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
