Job Details Patisserie Chanson's location on the Upper West Side is hiring! The location is right off of the iconic 72nd street station. We are seeking a self-motivated barista leader to join our team! Provides warm, knowledgeable service to guests. Responsibilities Executes Bakery-quality coffees and espresso drinks. Is proficiant in Dailing in a manuel expresso machine Makes drinks precisely and consistently. Maintains warmth and hospitality in all correspondence with guests Complete opening and closing side work checklist for shift daily Take orders from guests, ensuring 100% accuracy when entering orders into POS Process guest payments in timely, accurate manner Process financials on shift-by-shift basis, including submitting accurate cash sales Accurately report cash and credit card tips and contribute to tip pool as applicable Maintain sanitation to DOH standards; Keep work area clean and organized Be a team player"”support and assist your fellow team members whenever possible Complete other duties as assigned by management Running food to table and preparing food for delivery orders. Bussing and resetting tables Setting up and restocking all stations for pre-service. Restocking ice, glassware through out service. Must be able to lift and carry glass racks, ice buckets and dishes. Skills and Requirements 3 year minimum experience as a Barista MUST have NYC's Food protection license Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time Performs other duties as requested by the Café Director and Manager. Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented Keep Chef informed of any special dietary needs and special requests Observant to Guest needs throughout dining experience to ensure they receive high quality service Must Be Legal to work in the US to apply.
