The Goodkind Staffing Group, a top hospitality staffing agency in New York, is excited to offer a fantastic part-time position for a Part time Bar Floor Manager for out client a luxury hotel's upscale restaurant. We expect the pay to be around $30 per hour. T his position starts ASAP RUNNING UNTIL DECEMBER 2024 FOOD SAFETY PERMIT IS REQUIRED Schedule: Saturday from 5 PM until close (usually wraps up around 11 PM, then cashing out), and Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 PM until close (11pm). We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with experience in bar and lounge settings to join our team as a part-time Bar Manager. This role will involve overseeing all operational aspects, with a strong emphasis on enhancing sales performance and maintaining high service standards. Key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Leading and coordinating activities to uphold exceptional food and beverage quality and service. Planning and managing the administrative functions of the Food and Beverage operation to fulfill daily operational needs, including scheduling, payroll management, beverage procurement, and crafting innovative cocktail menus. Establishing effective controls for beverage and labor costs. Ensuring adherence to health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, including holding a valid food safety permit. Conducting interviews, training, supervising, counseling, scheduling, and evaluating staff performance. Setting clear performance expectations and providing ongoing feedback. Maintaining a clean and organized environment within the establishment. Demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills. Collaborating with the Director of Events to boost sales and manage events. Anticipating and addressing guest needs. Possessing comprehensive knowledge of beverage menus and industry trends. Participating in BEO meetings and coordinating food and beverage requirements. Engaging in daily pre-service meetings. Managing all POS functions and ensuring menus are current in the Micros system. Reconciling financials at the end of each shift. Exhibiting a positive and professional demeanor. Working collaboratively as part of a team and providing support to colleagues. Being actively present on the floor, engaging with both team members and guests during service.
