SUMMARY Provide administrative support to shop operations. Ensure proper levels of parts and materials are on hand. Make sure the shop stays clean. Help with the yard duties as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Assist the Fleet and Facility Maintenance Manager in the performance of daily duties. * Responsible for the ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory of all parts, materials, and consumables to supporting shop operations. Ensure the correct quantities are maintained and that there is not an excess amount ordered. Also making sure that no unneeded parts are ordered. * Prepare and process work orders and invoices for owned assets. * Assist with all vehicle licensing and decal renewals. * Assist with the facility fire safety program. Perform monthly inspections on fire extinguishers, exits, signage, etc. * Assist with the facility Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan. Perform monthly inspections. * Assist with equipment breakdowns in the absence or unavailability of the Fleet and Facility Maintenance Manager. In such cases, coordinate with necessary recovery and/or repair services as necessary for local assets and Penske Roadside Assistance for Over the Road asset repair and/or substitution. Ensure Receiving Agents, Dispatch, and Penske Contract Representatives are updated as the situations develop. QUALIFICATIONS In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * Previous experience working with commercial truck parts is a plus * Excellent verbal and written skills * Punctual attendance * Ability to multi task * Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. * Must be able to bend, stoop, climb a ladder, and lift overhead without assistance. WORK ENVIRONMENT Individuals are exposed to both indoor and outdoor elements. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 1 year of fleet maintenance parts experience including DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations. Knowledge of SWPP. Knowledge of MaintainX preferred, but not required. COMPUTER SKILLS Windows environment to include Microsoft Office. Additional computer training may be required.
