Job Summary Responsible for developing, maintaining, and leading the inventory control process in Central Distribution and the supply areas that we manage. Acts as the lead recall management coordinator for consumable medical supplies.# This includes researching each recall#s impact on our facility, communicating product removal instructions to our internal teams, and leading our recall response efforts throughout the facility. Responsible for working with the Value Analysis Manager to create and maintain a comprehensive substitute product file. Develops and implements standard inventory control procedures in Central Distribution and the supply areas that we manage. Communicates with our suppliers to discuss product concerns, including backorders, defective products, and general product inquiries. Responsible for reviewing the inventory gap report each week to identify potential backorders and adjusts orders accordingly. Maintains the Central Distribution backorder report and provides communication to the Director of Inventory Management and clinical team. Responsible for assisting the Inventory Specialist with product returns in Central Distribution, including communication with the purchasing department and our vendors as needed. Works with the Value Analysis Manager for new product additions to the Central Distribution inventory and monitors usage of new products to ensure compliance with new product transitions. Responsible for regularly monitoring product usage and inventory levels in Central Distribution to ensure that internal and distributor forecasts are updated accordingly. Works with the Director of Inventory Management to monitor the Central Distribution supply budget each month to ensure that financial and performance goals are met. Develops and maintains replenishment levels in Central Distribution with the assistance of the CDS Inventory Specialist. Coordinates with clinical leadership to identify opportunities for the CDS team to provide additional assistance with supplies. Participates in Value Analysis Committee meetings and provides product insight as needed. Evaluates current usage trends and manage the removal or replacement of products as needed. Manages the Central Distribution item master and communicates product changes to the CDS Technicians and our clinical team.# This includes updating sourcing information in both Infor and Pyxis to ensure that orders are routed correctly. Coordinates with the purchasing department and our suppliers to resolve order and delivery issues as needed. Manages new product stocking requests in Central Distribution and the supply areas that we manage. Oversees and provides support to the CDS Project Coordinator by assisting with inventory projects and product changes in the supply areas that we manage. Coordinates with the Director of Inventory Management to develop, implement, and maintain process improvement projects. Performs additional inventory management duties as assigned. Education Bachelor#s degree preferred. Experience 2-4#years of inventory#experience required.
