Position: Maintenance TechnicianDepartment: MaintenanceShift: 1st shift (4a-12:30p)Posting Open: 10/01/2024Position SummaryThis position reports to and assists the Maintenance Manager in maintaining the manufacturing equipment to ensure the business satisfies immediate and long-term product, quality, cost, and customer volume requirements, and maintains the facilities in a safe, professional, and well-kept condition. Essential Duties of the Maintenance Technician position include but are not limited to:Maintains the facilities in a safe, professional, and well-kept condition. Ensures that all equipment is operating in a safe manner as prescribed by the Maintenance Manager or by the equipment manufactures guidelines. Maintains all manufacturing infrastructure to support production goals of optimum quality, minimum scrap, and optimum labor efficiencies. Keeps updated and well trained on all new equipment implemented by the Maintenance Manager. For example: sewing machines, Tiger Stops, upcut chop saws, hydraulic punches and other new equipment as required. Assists Maintenance Manager in the construction, implementation, and training on all new equipment as needed. Assists Maintenance Manager in the construction and implementation of work aids, tooling and fixtures as needed. Maintains the physical condition of our plant, property, and equipment.Communicates and problem solves with employees of varying knowledge base to diagnose and correct equipment issues.Commitment to Carefree's Core Values: Commitment to Customers, Quality, Integrity, Innovation, Performance-based culture, and Diversity.Qualifications include but are not limited to:3-5 years experience in repair and maintenance of production machinery. Willingness to learn new skills, and gain familiarity with new types of equipment.Ability to work independently in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing various equipment.Knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, control systems, multi-phase electrical wiring and hydraulics strongly preferred. Experience with industrial sewing machines (single & double needle), sergers, tackers and fabric cutting equipment a plus, but not required.Ability to weld, operate mills & lathes, build work aids & fixtures, as well as general building maintenance preferred.Demonstrated reliability and commitment to helping the organization succeed.Compensation and BenefitsCompensation and BenefitsThe starting salary range for this position is anticipated to be from $1,923.08 to $2,307.69 bi-weekly.Benefits for this position include medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, 401(k) with company match, life insurance (employer paid & voluntary coverage), paid time off (CO paid sick leave, CO FAMLI, vacation & holidays), Short-Term Disability, Long Term Disability, voluntary accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance.Application Deadline: November 15, 2024
